So Long June...

Thirsty planet nebula in bloom
June whizzed by me. It just went extremely fast.
I haven't even been to the beach once yet this summer. I'm hoping this will change sometime this weekend!
This month brought the minions last day of Pre-K and 1st grade. Those two are just growing too fast for my liking. They're doing all kinds of activities this summer that I wish I could go see them with more ease. Damn working all the time. I need to find a way to work for myself. Best thing to do in my opinion.

We also went to tons of shows this month. Only have more planned for July. I have a couple of goals for July that I plan on sharing probably on Monday. I need to hold myself to these things. Even if I do one a week it's getting something done that I didn't have before. One thing at a time.

Lastly, the boy and I had to have some kind of beer event in our lives. The Thirsty Planet anniversary event is the one we chose. We went last weekend for our two year anniversary and had a good time. I also helped to brew some beer this month. I'll show y'all some of those pics after we bottle in a week or so. Stoked. It's smelling extremely hoppy.. not too sure that I'll like it but being part of the brewing is good enough for me.

Cheers to a good first month of summer.

What I Wore: Blue Paisley Heaven

nebula in bloom paisley heaven
Hi Guys!
Look it's me making silly faces and wearing what I would call my old lady outfit.
I've been buying tons of these longer skirts lately with all types of different patterns.
I wore this to work, hence the cardigan, I don't usually hang out in a cardigan in 95 degree heat. I promise.
Texas has been so darn hot lately it's completely unbearable to just hang out outside.

I found this polo when returning another pair of crazy shoes my mom got me, that I would never wear, and was super stoked on it.
I got the same one in three different colors. They're pretty thin but also sturdy. Just what I need.
Guys.. my hair. I'm gonna be a little sad when it's gone but seriously it's time. Texas heat is not the place you want ridiculously long hair in.

Clearly, I was super stoked on the skirt. Duh! It's super comfy and blueeee.
Not too sure why I didn't take a picture of the bow but it's a happy sushi bow. I'm super in love with it.
It's from one of my favorite bow makers ever.

I'm perpetually barefoot gals. If I could walk around in public with no shoes I totally would. It's so much cooler and comfortable.

I'd like to take a super quick moment and bring up these wood carving/paintings behind me. They're all from Paraguay and were all given to me as presents. The flower trees are my favorite. I was actually thinking about breaking them up around my house and start making some kind of collage with them in different spots. We shall see.
I guess that's it for today. Have an awesome Wednesday!

Cardigan: Gap
Polo: Bass
Skirt: Thrifted
Bow: Pink Donuts Designs (Sara is the best with them)

Anniversary with the OSO

nebula in bloom anniversary nebula in bloom anniversary
Hello Gals!
Thought I'd pop into the blog today and post about someone that means a lot to me. The boy! Yesterday was our two year anniversary. I know it's not very long but, no joke, these have been the best two years in a very long time. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that this is forever.
I'm done looking and happy about it.
He compliments me so well. We support each other in everything and at the end of the day that's what it should be about.
Our relationship is far from perfect. I'm not very patient and neither is he but we find a way to make it work. I've grown so much as a person in these last two years and I have him to thank for that. He makes me a better person. Period.
This past weekend we went up to Austin to celebrate with a beer anniversary event and a good show. That's just my life now and I LOVE IT! I've looked for years for someone who is happy going to shows, random events around town, or just sit and veg. Bob is it. We talked a lot this weekend about what the future holds for us. A lot of our friends are moving away and starting new. It's about that time for us.. He's finally on board. I've been applying for jobs out of town for months but he finally said he would delve head first into it. I'm beyond ecstatic. This was becoming a huge stress thinking about his work situation. Things can only get better from here on out.
I could go on and on but I'll spare you ladies.. Here's to the next twenty years with this amazing man by my side.

Pati

Ps: How was YOUR weekend?
Pps: These pictures are perfectly us! silly and in love.

Chaos in Tejas

chaos in tejas
Hi gals! Long time no see..
I had to rest after this insane weekend that was Chaos In Tejas! I felt exhausted all last week and on top of it had to be here and there for the minions last day of school. They're off for the summer with their dad and I miss them already.
Anyhow.. This weekend was ALL I dreamt of and more, so much more. This is a complete photo dump so I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed being there.
The picture above is of the first night at a bridge show. Yes, it was actually on a bridge and yes, all these people are crammed in there. I stood on top of a bench and I still could not see the band. It was a neat experience but we said no, thank you, to night two of bridge shows.
ice age chaos in tejas
Ice Age was not my favorite but they were from Denmark and a must see for Bob. Plus, I felt like I was looking at Devon Sawa clones the entire time! I can't say no to teen heartthrobs! They were all super young also.

marching church chaos in tejas
Marching Church had the same singer as Ice Age but I liked them more. According to Bob the three Danish bands we saw all live together in a house and make music together. Pretty cool if you ask me!
framtid chaos in tejas
FRAMTID! This show was so intense and I was in the very front right next to the stage. I didn't know any of their songs but the energy was so contagious. The stage divers were not so much fun though..Boo.
rotten sound chaos in tejas pedicab chaos in tejas
The moshing kind of speaks for itself. It's insane the amount of force that they use while you're in the pit. NO thank you!
The picture above is of a pedicab we took! She was the sweetest ever and this was both my first and Bob's first pedicab. He said it was completely awkward the entire time but I had some help of the alcohol kind to make it not feel like that for me. I spoke with her the entire time.. I had fun.
merchadise chaos in tejas
Merchandise was probably my favorite band that we saw the entire time. I liked them so much this day that we went and saw them a day later. Plus, helloooo hot singer!
framtid chaos in tejas framtid chaos in tejas
Framtid again.. I took 551454 pictures of them and just a few came out well. I can't expect very much since I kept getting bumped and what not. They're from Japan and hardly tour the US if anyone was wondering(which i'm sure you weren't).

Drink stop and to take a small break was needed during the afternoon. I felt like I was melting the entire time. Texas summers are NO joke gals. The second picture is Merchandise on the second night. The girl that's in the picture is a stranger but she was sitting on the stage, drunk, and totally captivated by him. I had to. It was night time and she was wearing glasses.. just by the way.
speedwolf chaos in tejas mitochondrion chaos in tejas
Speedwolf is the first band and Mitochondrion the second. I thoroughly enjoyed both of them and Mitochondrion totally threw me off with their makeup. They were the only ones with anything like that the entire time we saw shows. I also wonder how they kept it on.. I mean it does look like it's melting but still held on pretty well.
crowd lil ugly mane chaos in tejas lil ugly mane chaos in tejas
To end the four days and nights there we went and saw some hip hop...because that's what you do when your ears are over punk and metal. This is Lil' Ugly Mane above. He was oh, so good. The place where he was at was totally at capacity and we had to wait a while to get in but so worth it.
Did you have as much fun perusing through these as I had being there? probably not... but thanks for coming along for the ride.
I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR.
So many memories made and so much music for my ears. I wouldn't have it any other way.
