Hiya gals!

It's the second day of July and I'm feeling refreshed like I always do when the month begins.

Today I just wanted to jot down five things that I want to accomplish this month.

I'm hoping this will be something that I do at the beginning of every month and actually helps me accomplish mini goals.

To DO:

1. Build Shelves: This has been on my list for far too long. I have little knick knacks everywhere and nowhere to put them in an organized matter! I must change this.

2. Throw Pia the best party EVER: My little princess is turning 7 and she wants a pool party.. so I need to start preparing all the invitations and decorations for the 20th.

3. Workout: I need to make this a daily thing not a whenever I think about it thing.

4. Photoshoot with the minions: This one has also been on my to do for too long. Hoping to change that with some fun props and locations.

5.Finish 5 Sewing Projects: Yesterday I was messing with the sewing machine again and I love it so much. Even the mistakes were fun. Planning on making DIY baby shower gifts for a friend so that should put a dent into this goal.

These are all super attainable if I just put my mind/effort/time into them. Wish me luck!

Anniversary with the OSO

Hello Gals!

Thought I'd pop into the blog today and post about someone that means a lot to me. The boy! Yesterday was our two year anniversary. I know it's not very long but, no joke, these have been the best two years in a very long time. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that this is forever.

I'm done looking and happy about it. 

He compliments me so well. We support each other in everything and at the end of the day that's what it should be about.

Our relationship is far from perfect. I'm not very patient and neither is he but we find a way to make it work. I've grown so much as a person in these last two years and I have him to thank for that. He makes me a better person. Period. 

This past weekend we went up to Austin to celebrate with a beer anniversary event and a good show. That's just my life now and I LOVE IT! I've looked for years for someone who is happy going to shows, random events around town, or just sit and veg. Bob is it. We talked a lot this weekend about what the future holds for us. A lot of our friends are moving away and starting new. It's about that time for us.. He's finally on board. I've been applying for jobs out of town for months but he finally said he would delve head first into it. I'm beyond ecstatic. This was becoming a huge stress thinking about his work situation. Things can only get better from here on out. 

I could go on and on but I'll spare you ladies.. Here's to the next twenty years with this amazing man by my side.

Kickin' this year's butt.

First of all Happy New Year to all of you lovely gals out there.

I hope this last week has been a refreshing new start to the hustle and bustle of the last couple of weeks.

I love the holidays..but oh my are they busy.

I end up being pulled in fifteen different directions. Totally glad it's over.

These are my crazy little minions. Starting off the year in their PJ's. Excuse the poor quality.

I wish I had taken more pictures of them and all the fireworks. Boo.

So goals. Yes, those pesky goals that we all write down and semi finish each year.

This year I will tackle them all. Yup.
I feel so good taking on this new year. Pretty sure this is the happiest I've been. Well ever.


*Volunteer more-- I've had this one on the brain for quite some time. I use to volunteer all the time. Then I had kids, responsibilities, a job... the list goes on. It just feels so good to give to those who don't have.
*Read more-- This one is easier said than done. I have however read three books in the last month and a half. Something I haven't done in quite some time. I have so many books piling up that are dying to be read. Here I come!
*Travel more-- I have a gypsy soul. Truly, I do. I hate that I have to live in one place. The world is so vast and so beautiful. People are awesome. There's so many places to see and lessons to learn. I have to get out more.
*Spend more quality time with those minions-- This one is because I don't feel like I spend my time wisely with them. If that makes any sense? I want to craft more, cook more, adventure more.. etc.
*Blog more-- The little time I have spent blogging has been so fulfilling. I cannot wait to make more friends and meet some of you in real life! The support from all of you is so amazing. Plus this blogging life fits me. I hope it goes somewhere.
*Save more-- I'm horrible with money. It burns a hole in my pocket. I see it this way: I  can't take it with me when I'm dead.. so why not use it?! Bums me out that I need money for everything. Blah. Why can't we barter for things? I'm such a hippy. ha!
*Make time for me-- I need that quality time with myself. The boy is truly so supportive and amazing but I can't forget that I also have my own two feet to stand on. Plus it's quite stressful to not have time with my own thoughts and feelings.

I will accomplish all. I will accomplish all..
