What I Wore: Green With Envy

Good Morning!

Look at me doing an outfit post. I haven't done one in who knows how long..

Not going to lie, I've been kinda upset with myself for the little bit of weight I've put on. Boo.

I'm working on it. Plus, this is who I am right now. So no lying. No being ashamed, right?

That's what I'm trying to do. Be positive and be comfortable on here. I am in real life.. 

It's weird how when something goes up here you want it to be perfect but life isn't.

I'm just me!

Clearly, you can tell that I chopped off my hair? Right? 

Did you just completely forget what I looked like because it's been that long? I don't blame you.

Anyway, I cut off a couple of inches of dead weight and colored it green. I was on a blue/purple kick for a bit but wanted a change.

I'm so glad I cut off that amount of hair but I constantly miss it. It was a necessary thing though. My curls are back to normal and I'm not constantly complaining about how much hair I have. Win. Win!

This is one of those slip on and go outfits. It's so comfy,stylish, and put together at the same time.

I love this shirt I got at the thrift a couple of weeks back. Perfect for this weather.

Also, don't you just love the necklace? A chicken claw is what I call it. I found it at TJMAXX and knew I had to have it!

They had earrings too that I left behind and when I went back a couple of days later they were already gone.

Meh. It wasn't meant to be.

What I Wore: Blue Paisley Heaven

Hi Guys!

Look it's me making silly faces and wearing what I would call my old lady outfit.

I've been buying tons of these longer skirts lately with all types of different patterns.

I wore this to work, hence the cardigan, I don't usually hang out in a cardigan in 95 degree heat. I promise.

Texas has been so darn hot lately it's completely unbearable to just hang out outside. 

I found this polo when returning another pair of crazy shoes my mom got me, that I would never wear, and was super stoked on it.

I got the same one in three different colors. They're pretty thin but also sturdy. Just what I need. 

Guys.. my hair. I'm gonna be a little sad when it's gone but seriously it's time. Texas heat is not the place you want ridiculously long hair in. 

Clearly, I was super stoked on the skirt. Duh! It's super comfy and blueeee. 

Not too sure why I didn't take a picture of the bow but it's a happy sushi bow. I'm super in love with it.

It's from one of my favorite bow makers ever.

I'm perpetually barefoot gals. If I could walk around in public with no shoes I totally would. It's so much cooler and comfortable.

I'd like to take a super quick moment and bring up these wood carving/paintings behind me. They're all from Paraguay and were all given to me as presents. The flower trees are my favorite. I was actually thinking about breaking them up around my house and start making some kind of collage with them in different spots. We shall see.

What I Wore: Skulls N' Dots

Happy Thursday Gals!

Today's post won't be too long because we're getting ready to leave to Austin for Chaos in Tejas!

I'm super stoked. It's a punk/metal festival for the next four days.

So much music in my earssss. Ah.

Ok, back to the outfit. Aren't you lovin' this shirt? I love it tons. The only thing that makes me feel uncomfortable is the see through panels on the side. Nothing a cute cardigan can't hide.

I've been wearing tons of socks with skirts/shorts lately. It's been incredible hot over here already but I love the way it looks. I totally went a little sock crazy the other day and bought

like eight pairs. 

I've been feeling very blah with my hair as of late. I need to find some kind of way to make it feel fresh and new. I'm just really constricted as to what I can do with it because it's so curly when it's short and I don't want a huge fro. I should probably do my hair more often also, instead of just having it down and putting a bow in it. We shall see what I come up with.

 I had completely forgotten that I hadn't shown you gals my new tattoos. The newest one is the teacup with the spider but the kettle isn't very old either. They were gotten maybe two months apart? I was feeling super uneven. I don't even know if that's a thing but to me it is.

What do you all think? I'm off to finish packing and to get on the road.

What I Wore: "Tiptoe"

Hiya Gals! Happy Thursday!

So today I wore one of my all time favorite dresses ever. I honestly use to wear it at least once a week. Always with a cardigan but now that I'm super into denim I've been pairing it with different things. What do you think?

I know some of these are out of focus.. but I actually kind of dig it. 

Silly faces!

I've been letting my  hair fade a little bit so I can mess with it again. I'll probably be doing the same colors because it can't be too loud for my job but pastels in my hair? I can't disagree with.

I clearly was having TOO much fun. Haha.. It's been a long couple of days. I needed it. 

I'm stoked for this weekend though! I get to go into Mexico (hoping I come back alive) to watch the boy's band play. I haven't been across in I can't even tell you how long. It's a bit dangerous but we will be with locals the whole time. Plus.. I have a whole bands worth of bodyguards. I know. I'm insane for even going. It's all an adventure!

We're not planning on staying over night because we're trying to get tickets to Dark Lord day in Chicago! Does anyone have any clue  what that is? Well if you don't, it's a beer festival (my life has been revolving around these) commemorating the release of Dark Lord. They only release this beer this one day a year so it's a HUGE deal to beer nerds. I've never been to Chicago and neither has Bob so of course we'll be doing tons of exploring along with the event. I really hope we can snag some tickets because they usually sell out in 30 seconds.. yes, that's right, SECONDS. Wish us luck!

What I Wore: "Ramblin' Rose"

Hi Gals! Hope by the time you're reading this your Wednesday is going amazing.

I've been so out of whack the last couple of days and I honestly haven't even been on to read others blogs either. Don't really know why?

I'm back now! Did you miss me? 

Today I did an outfit post with two pieces that I picked up at the thrift on Monday. 

I thought they went together perfectly.

 

 Do you like this combo? I have one vest and it's denim (of course), so I've been wanting to venture out and get a men's suit vest. It got the effect that I wanted it to. Can't wait to pair this vest with a lace dress! 

 Worn with my favoritest shoe EVER my studded boots. You can barely see them. I know. The only thing missing from this outfit is a pocket watch!

The wind has been psycho the past couple of days.. look at the bottom of the dress. Thankfully it doesn't show anything.. but c'mon wind I've had enough of you! Go home. 

 Bonus! With those little minions of mine. They came outside and were just watching me take pictures so I asked them to join in the fun. Noah is just a goof like me, obviously. Pia ASKED me to smile. Lol.

What I Wore: Purple dress/Jean Jacket

       Hiya guys!

First outfit post. I've been wanting to do one for ages and, oh my, was this a theatrical production.

I was taking pictures with the timer mode because apparently the remote that I bought doesn't work or something. Lame. I know!

I could also just be using it on the wrong mode. Anyway. Took like 45 minutes. haha.

This is just a super comfy outfit that I reach for a lot. Well the gist of the outfit anyway. 

A dress and a jean jacket. Perfect combo much? yup.

Also I would like to address the sparse grass. I live in Texas. This house never got grass planted in the back. I love nature and just can't justify watering a lawn when we're constantly in a drought situation. End rant. Hence why this is my lawn.

I don't take myself too seriously and couldn't not smile in any pictures. I'm a smiling machine. Yup. I said it. Kill someone with kindness for sure.

I also live with some type of bow or flower in my hair. It makes me feel girly and I don't care how old I get, there will be a cute flower in my hair, dammit!

I couldn't figure out how to logistically get my feet in the pictures. So this is what you get! I will figure it out though.. eventually. I'm a believer in comfy shoes. I live in vans, converse, and flats.

Also, if anyone was wondering if this is how I actually went outside in January, yes, yes it is. 

It is currently 77 degrees as I type this. A curse really. I like seasons and envy all the snow pictures.
